March 7, 2021 – Lenten Parish Mission

PASTOR’S CORNER
Lenten Parish Mission: March 13-18 (Note Change in times)
By the grace of God (and a timely cancellation by another parish),
we are privileged to have a Parish Mission this Lent, given by Fr.
Louis Guardiola of the Fathers of Mercy! Fr. Louis was ordained in
2001, and has been preaching Eucharistic Parish Missions for most
of his priesthood.
Under normal circumstances, our parish mission would be a four or
five night event, with a series of talks presented for the parish
community, and we would expect to have 50-80 people attend the
mission. But this year, we are NOT under “normal circumstances” –

  • far from it! So we are going to have a different kind of mission: I
have asked Fr. Louis to present one talk on Eucharistic Adoration
and Visits to the Blessed Sacrament, but to present it 6 times over
the course of a four day mission — the goal being to have as many
people as possible to benefit from this important topic for our
    spiritual lives.
Our mission schedule, at the churches, will be:
    • Monday, March 15: 6:00 PM at Our Lady of the Caves
    • Tuesday, March 16: 11:00 AM at St. Helen (Elderly Only)
 6:00 PM at St. Helen — Adults & RCIA class
 Wednesday, March 17: 4:00 PM at St. Helen — School age
    children & their parents
 6:00 PM at St. Helen — Confirmation & High School students,
    with their parents
 Thursday, March 18: 6:00 PM at St. Helen — Spanish (Connie
Granados will translate the talk for Fr. Louis) I hope that you will
put this in your calendar, and plan to join us for this special
    Eucharistic Mission!
All mission talks will take place in the church.
