PASTOR’S CORNER
Dear Parishioners,
This summer has been an interesting period of transition for me, and I am
learning the administrative part of being pastor all over again. Please
pray that I serve the Lord and you faithfully. This summer I would like to
give the parishioners an opportunity to renew their devotion to our
Blessed Mother Mary and their love for her Son Jesus Christ. On
Saturday, July 16, we are having a Spanish Mass at 10am at St. Helen
Church in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Right after the Mass we
will have a scapular enrollment so that parishioners can receive a
scapular in case they do not have one. Our Lady promises to give special
protection to those who wear her scapular. After the Mass and
enrollment, there will be a potluck at St. Helen Parish Center. Please join
us!
Also, we have been locking the church at night for protection in case
there is any intention of vandalism. This would be due to responding to
the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. Please pray for Our Lord’s protection of
our parish family and our churches.
And just a reminder to participate in our Ice Cream Social. It is on
Saturday, August 20, from 11am to 4pm. May God bless you all, and may
you have a good summer with your families.
